End User License Agreement

By installing or using HandyCafe software you agree to this agreement.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. Parties and scope

This agreement is between you (the person installing or using the software, or the business on whose behalf you use it, "You") and HandyCafe, LLC ("HandyCafe", "we", "us"). It applies to HandyCafe Server, HandyCafe Client, HandyCafe Gateway, HandyCafe Gateway Manager and their updates, add-ons and documentation (the "Software"). Where a product comes with a separate agreement, that agreement prevails for that product.

2. License

Subject to this agreement and a valid license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Software in your own business, within the computer, device, seat and term limits of your license. The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by HandyCafe.

3. Trials, subscriptions and license checks

  • Trial licenses are for evaluation only and end when they expire.
  • Paid licenses are subject to the plan, price and term shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew at the end of each term unless cancelled.
  • The Software regularly verifies your license through HandyCafe services. It keeps working for a limited time without an internet connection. When that time runs out or the license ends, some features (for example selling new Wi-Fi vouchers) may stop. Services already sold and your stored data are not deleted.
  • You may not exceed your license limits or bypass or disable the license checks.

4. Restrictions

Except as expressly permitted by law, you may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software.
  • Copy (other than for backup), modify, create derivative works of, rent, sell or offer the Software as a service to third parties.
  • Remove copyright, trademark or license notices from the Software.
  • Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others.

5. Updates

The Software may check for, download and install updates automatically. Some updates may be required for security or compatibility. Updates are covered by this agreement. We may change, add or remove features.

6. Data and privacy

Your business data (members, sessions, sales, devices, network logs) belongs to you, and you are its controller. You are responsible for informing your customers, obtaining any required consent and complying with local law (for example on retaining internet access logs). The Software may send license, update, error and usage information to HandyCafe. We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party components and services

The Software includes open source components that are governed by their own licenses. The Software may work with third-party services such as payment providers, game consoles or sign-in providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and we are not responsible for them.

8. Intellectual property

The Software and all copies, including the HandyCafe name, logos and trademarks, are owned by HandyCafe or its licensors. We may use any feedback you give us without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for backing up your data regularly.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyCafe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business. In any case our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Software in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

Your license ends automatically if you breach this agreement. When your license ends you must stop using the Software. You may export your data before it ends. Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.

12. Export and sanctions

You may not use or transfer the Software in violation of applicable export control and sanctions laws.

13. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction over any dispute. This section does not affect rights you have under the laws of your country that cannot be waived by contract.

14. Changes and general terms

We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes are published on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the Software after a change means you accept the updated agreement. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. This agreement is the entire agreement between the parties about the Software.
