Turn on a category and every site in it is blocked. The list is updated every day by itself so you do not need to do anything.

  • Your own lists. Block a site that is not on the list or allow a site you need.
  • Blocked words. A site with one of your words in its name is blocked.
  • Program ban. A program you ban is closed as soon as it opens.

One customer with a big download should not slow down everyone else. Set a download and upload limit in Mbps.

  • General limit: one speed limit for every computer.
  • Limit for one computer: it replaces the general limit on that computer.

A record of every connection and a firewall.

Each computer sends its connection log to the management computer. Pick a day and a computer, then export it as CSV or print it.

  • Connection log (IP log): time, computer, internal IP, target IP and port.
  • Firewall: block an IP address or a whole IP range on every computer. Windows Firewall applies it.

Every computer has a menu. You do not need to walk to the computer or ask the person using it to get up.

  • Cut the internet: the computer can reach only the local network.
  • Turn off the filter for a while: it turns back on by itself when the time is up.
  • If someone stops it: the protection service starts again and the computer's card tells you.
  • No uninstall without you: nobody can remove it from a computer unless you allow it.

Setup and use

How do I install it?

Install the management app on one computer and sign in with your HandyCafe account. Then install the agent on each computer. The agent finds the management computer by itself and you click Add the first time. You do not type a code or a serial number.

Which Windows versions does it work on?

The agent works on Windows 10 and newer. It does not install on Windows 7 or 8.1. The management app also runs on Windows.

Can a customer turn it off?

No. If someone stops the protection service, it starts again by itself and the computer's card tells you. Nobody can remove it from a computer unless you allow it.

Does it block HTTPS sites?

Yes. The agent reads the site name from DNS answers and from the start of each connection, before the encrypted part begins. If the name is blocked, the connection stops there. It does not open the encrypted page.

Can I use it outside an internet cafe?

Yes. Gaming centers, schools, libraries and offices use it too. You do not need HandyCafe.
