System Options
The System Options category groups general system toggles that control how the server starts, how sessions are charged, and how operators log clients in and out. Each option is a simple on or off switch. Changes are saved with the page-level Save action and applied across the system.
Launch on Startup
- Label: Launch on Startup
- Effect: When enabled, the HandyCafe server application starts automatically when the operating system boots. This keeps the server running without an operator needing to open it manually after a restart or power loss.
- When to use: Recommended for dedicated server machines so the cafe is ready as soon as the computer is powered on.
PC Postpaid Sessions
- Label: PC Postpaid Sessions
- Effect: When enabled, sessions on PCs can run as post-paid (credit) sessions. The customer uses the PC first and pays for the elapsed time at the end of the session, instead of paying in advance.
- When disabled: PC sessions follow the standard pre-paid flow, where time or balance must be available before the session runs.
Console Postpaid Sessions
- Label: Console Postpaid Sessions
- Effect: When enabled, sessions on consoles can run as post-paid (credit) sessions. The customer uses the console first and pays for the elapsed time at the end of the session.
- When disabled: Console sessions follow the standard pre-paid flow.
Double Click Start/Stop
- Label: Double Click Start/Stop
- Effect: When enabled, an operator can start or stop a client session with a double-click on the client in the server console. This speeds up the login and logout workflow during busy periods.
- When disabled: Starting and stopping a session uses the standard multi-step flow.
Notes
- Post-paid options place trust in the customer to settle the bill after use. Enable them only where you are comfortable extending credit during a session.
- The PC and console post-paid toggles are independent. You can allow post-paid on PCs while keeping consoles pre-paid only, or the reverse.
- Double Click Start/Stop affects operator convenience only. It does not change how sessions are priced or charged.
