Sessions and Computer Statistics
This page documents the Sessions, Consoles, Computer Usage, and Applications tabs of the Statistics dashboard. These tabs focus on how your hardware and software assets are being utilized.
Sessions Tab
The Sessions tab provides a high-level view of session activity across all devices.
Key Metrics
- Session Count -- Total number of sessions within the selected date range.
- Average Duration -- Mean session length, helping identify typical customer behavior.
- Revenue per Session -- Average income generated per session, factoring in pricing, VAT, and discounts.
Trends Over Time
A time-series chart displays session volume over the selected period. Use this to identify busy days, seasonal trends, or the impact of pricing changes.
Peak Hours Analysis
Aggregated data reveals which hours of the day see the most session starts. This information is valuable for staffing decisions and pricing schedule optimization.
Consoles Tab
The Consoles tab reports on gaming console usage for cafes that manage PlayStation, Xbox, or other console devices.
Utilization Rates
Each console's utilization is calculated as the percentage of available hours that were occupied by active sessions. High utilization indicates demand; low utilization may suggest the need for promotional pricing.
Popular Consoles
Consoles are ranked by total session time or session count, showing which devices are most in demand.
Session Duration per Console Type
Average session length is broken down by console type, revealing whether certain platforms attract longer play sessions.
Computer Usage Tab
The Computer Usage tab drills down to individual PC performance.
Per-PC Metrics
Each client PC is listed with the following metrics:
- Utilization Percentage -- Proportion of operating hours spent in active sessions.
- Uptime -- Total hours the PC has been connected and available.
- Revenue per Machine -- Total income generated by sessions on that specific PC.
Busiest PCs
PCs are ranked by utilization or revenue, making it easy to identify which machines are the workhorses and which are underperforming. This data can inform decisions about hardware upgrades, relocation, or retirement.
Applications Tab
The Applications tab tracks software usage across all client PCs.
Most-Used Apps by Total Time
Applications are ranked by cumulative usage time across all clients and sessions. This reveals which games, browsers, or productivity tools are most popular with customers.
App Usage by Category
Usage data is grouped by application category (e.g., games, browsers, communication, productivity), providing a broader view of how customers spend their time.
Trends
A time-series view shows how application usage patterns shift over the selected date range, which can inform decisions about which games or software to promote or retire.
