Clients Settings

The Clients Settings category contains four sub-tabs that control everything related to client devices, including naming, authentication, the user-facing menu, visual theme, and lock screen.

Tab 1: General

Admin Password

Set the encrypted password used for client-side admin access. When a cashier or administrator needs to unlock a client PC's admin panel (for example, to troubleshoot or change local settings), they enter this password on the client's lock screen.

  • The password is stored in encrypted form on the server and pushed to clients.
  • Changing the admin password takes effect on all connected clients immediately.

Auto-Naming Prefix

Configure the prefix used when clients are automatically assigned names upon first connection. The default prefix is "PC #", which produces names like "PC 1", "PC 2", "PC 3", and so on.

You can change this to any string (for example, "Station " or "Gaming-") to match your cafe's naming convention.

Client Directory

A list of all client devices that have connected to the server. Each entry displays:

Field Description
Display name Editable. Click to rename the client (e.g., change "PC 5" to "VIP Corner").
MAC address The hardware address of the client's network adapter (read-only, used for identification)
Last seen Timestamp of the client's most recent connection
Delete Remove the client entry from the directory

The client directory is auto-populated as new clients connect to the server. You do not need to add clients manually.

Tab 2: Content / Menu

This tab provides access to the Client Menu Settings, where you configure the app catalog displayed to customers during active sessions. The menu system organizes applications into categories, each containing individual app entries with icons, posters, and launch configurations.

For full details, see the Client Menu Settings documentation.

Tab 3: Appearance

This tab provides access to the Client Appearance Settings, where you configure the visual theme, layout, background, and card display options for the client interface.

For full details, see the Client Appearance Settings documentation.

Tab 4: Idle Screen

This tab provides access to the Client Idle Screen Settings, where you configure the lock screen slideshow and branding displayed on client PCs when they are not in use.

For full details, see the Client Idle Screen Settings documentation.
