Report Builder

The Report Builder answers questions the fixed statistics tabs do not cover. Pick what to measure, choose how to group it, add filters, then run.

It is a tab on the Statistics page. It requires a Genesis plan. The restriction is enforced in the backend. The query cannot be run by other means on a free plan. See Licensing.

Building a Query

Source

Sessions is the current source. Sales, revenue and member sources are planned.

Measures

Choose one or more values to calculate:

Measure Returns
Session count How many sessions match
Total revenue The sum collected
Average revenue Revenue divided by session count
Total time Minutes across all matching sessions
Average time Mean session length
Unique members Distinct members involved

Group by

Dimensions decide how rows are broken out. Add as many as you need and reorder them to change the nesting:

Day, Hour, Weekday, Session type, Console, Cashier and Member type.

Member type separates member sessions from guest sessions.

Filters

Narrow the set before the measures are calculated:

Field Operators
Session type Equals PC or Console
Cashier Equals a named cashier
Member Equals a named member
Console Equals a named console
Prepaid Yes or No
Amount Equals, at least, or at most

Date range

Four choices are offered: Today, Last 7 days, This month and Custom.

Running and Reading the Result

Run executes the query. The result can be displayed as a bar chart, a line chart, a donut chart or a table. A totals row summarises the measures across every group.

State Meaning
Build a query and run it Nothing has been run yet
No records match Widen the date range or remove filters
Showing the first 5000 rows The result was capped. Add filters or narrow the date range
The report could not run Retry the query

Reset clears the current query.

Saved Reports

Save stores the query under a name, such as "Daily console revenue". Saved reports are listed in the panel and opened with one action.

Action Effect
Open Load a saved query into the builder
Refresh Run the saved query again with current data
Delete Remove the saved report after a confirmation

A loaded report that has been edited is flagged as having unsaved changes until it is saved again.

A saved report stores the query, not a snapshot of the data. Opening it later runs against whatever the database holds at that moment.
